Every year, five high school seniors from Frederick County have the opportunity to work in the state legislature in Annapolis as a student page.  This is an excellent opportunity for seniors who have an interest in government and politics. Past OHS students who have served as pages in the Maryland General Assembly said it was an outstanding experience.  Interested students should see Mr. Smarick in B108 for more information.”

Dramapalooza is back and better than ever! Join students from across the county to explore what theatre has to offer. Workshops in sound, lighting, special effects, make-up, costuming, improvisation, theatre movement, and more! Take advantage of the opportunity to audition before a panel of local professionals and receive valuable feedback to perfect your presentation! All are welcome!!! Please see Ms. Corridon in D154 to register. You have until Friday, October 4th, so don’t miss out!

1 in 9 students in Maryland’s public schools do not know if they will have food to eat when they get home from school and Marylanders miss more than 100 million meals a year.  Oakdale High School will be conducting a food drive from October 1st to November 1st to help those in need. Please bring donations of non-perishable food items to your first period class.  The class that brings in the most donations will win a breakfast. If your first period class is not participating in the food drive, you may drop off your donations with Ms. Porter in Room A225.
