The peanut butter blossoms are soft peanut butter cookies with a Hershey Kiss on top. Millions of people all over the world learn to love and highly enjoy these salty and sweet cookies. They are mainly made during Christmas.

Holiday cookies, especially like this one, are great for making connections and many cherishable memories. Makenna Hunter, a Freshman at Oakdale explains, “I’ve made many good memories making these with my mom.” 

While some people really enjoy these cookies, there are others that have slightly different opinions. Many people have peanut allergies or dislike peanut butter, which can change their opinion. Samantha Makwara, another Freshman at Oakdale mentions, “My least favorite cookie would have to be cookies that have peanut butter in them, because I’m allergic”.

Snickerdoodle cookies are a traditional American cookie. Depending on the ingredients used, they can be soft, chewy, or crisp, and are characterized by a cracked surface coated in cinnamon sugar.

Sasha Schoenherr, a Freshman at Oakdale, shared her reasons for loving snickerdoodle cookies, “I just really like making snickerdoodles with my grandma, mom, and the rest of my family, and I like the taste of them.” 

Although this is a very popular and beloved treat, there are some people who do not like the taste or texture of these cookies. The taste of this cookie could be unique, as there are many recipes and ways to make it. An Anonymous Sophomore expressed her dislike towards Snickerdoodle cookies stating, “It hurts my mouth, and they’re kinda just bland.”

Another beloved Christmas treat is the sugar cookie. Many enjoy this cookie because of its variety. You can experiment with the shape and frosting of these cookies in a variety of ways.

The Anonymous Sophomore said that this cookie was their favorite Christmas cookie. They admitted that the icing and decorations were the best qualities of this cookie, and expressed that they liked it by mentioning, “It’s really good, and I make them every Christmas.”

Alex Deren, a Sophomore at Oakdale agreed with this Sophomore, as this is also her favorite cookie because of the soft texture and Christmas decorations and likes making them with her family. 

Chocolate chip cookies are the most classic and popular cookies. Many people love to not only enjoy eating them, but also make them with their friends and family no matter the time of year. If there are cookies at an event, you will more than likely see these chocolate icons. Hunter exclaims “ I strongly like chocolate chip cookies, they’re so delicious and delectable”. 

While many people love these delicious cookies, there are some people who believe they are too sweet and have way too much chocolate in them.
