Many teens play a sport while being a full time student. They spend time balancing between school work and improving in their sport. Only 7% of those high school athletes become college athletes. These students decided they want to spend the next chapter of their lives working hard in their sport while keeping up in their academics. Every year there is a “National Signing Day” where students sign an official document declaring their commitment to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. As of now, only seven student-athletes at Oakdale High School officially signed.
