-Following the narrow avoidance of the government shutdown last week, the house Republicans have decided to vote out Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House, which has never been done before. McCarthy announced that he will not be running for Speaker again.

-Josh Kruger, a 39-year-old journalist located in Philadelphia, was shot and killed early Monday morning. They had one person of interest as of Tuesday although no names have been released

-As of Tuesday, 795 wildfires were reported to be burning in Canada. On Tuesday, smoke from those wildfires have entered Florida and affected their air quality. Many Florida residents have never seen synch thick smoke in their state.

-65-year-old pilot, Micheal Arnold, is being investigated for stalking a woman for several years. On Tuesday, he was charged with aggravated stalking, impeding false information to a police officer and  resisting arrest.

-Democratic representative of Texas, Henry Cuellar, was carjacked in DC on Monday evening. He was not harmed and police currently have 3 male suspects.
