Wrapped Christmas Gifts

Madelyn Wilson, writer

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year. It’s filled with snow, music, lights, cookies, and laughter. One of the best parts of Christmas that people always look forward to are traditions that their families have every year.

A few examples of Christmas traditions are baking cookies and decorating the tree. A popular tradition is decorating people’s homes and yards for all to see. Junior Madison Buckwalter exclaimed, “I love seeing what people have done to decorate their houses. The lights are so beautiful.”

Everyone makes cookies this time of year. Some popular cookies that are made are chocolate chip, sugar, gingerbread, and shortbread. Families, churches, and other groups of people will get together to make huge batches of cookies for everyone to enjoy.Buckwalter also mentioned, “Shortbread cookies are the best! I love to make them every year!”

Many families wake up early on Christmas morning to open gifts. This is a memorable time of year for everyone. It’s a time where families come together and enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the festivities all around them.

Junior Alayna Rubach loves the holidays and all of the traditions involved. She commented, “My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with my family.”

Christmas is a time filled with family and laughter. This Christmas make sure to spend some time with your family and cherish them. This is the best time of year to show those you love how much you appreciate them. Merry Christmas!
