On the week of October 30, 2023, the Multicultural Club organized a spirit week in Oakdale High School (OHS.) Many students and staff members participated in this week to not only show school spirit, but to also honor their culture. The themes were Jersey Day on Monday, Halloween for the Seniors on Tuesday, Tourist Day on Wednesday, Favorite Album Cover on Thursday, and Country Colors/ Cultural Clothing on Friday.
Senior Josef Miller, the President of the Multicultural Club, shared that the purpose of this club is to “promote Multiculturalism, and to share a lot of those ideas with the rest of the school.” The club works with other cultural clubs in OHS, which allows students to share parts of their culture. The purpose of this spirit week was to let students learn about different cultural customs and dressing traditions.
This week was full of participation, check out the looks of the week!
