Lounging around for the summertime

Ellie Smith, Editor

Summer’s approaching, time to spread cheer!

But who knew in this quarantine we’d all be stuck here

In our houses, big and small

Is this the summer or does it feel more like fall?

Red, orange and yellow, bursting forest trees,

Maybe winter is more like what it seems.

Some days are cold, and others are hot;

This is a season no one had sought.

Perhaps it’s more like spring, with grass so green,

Morning dew glistens with a delicate sheen!

But, it is summer! The season is near.

Summer’s approaching, time to spread cheer!

It’ll get better, day by day,

And eventually this quarantine will go away.
So every house, big and small

Can have the best summer of all!
