Ever since Taylor Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game to watch tight end Travis Kelce, dating rumors have sparked and fans are going crazy. On July 8th, Kelce went to see Swift perform The Eras Tour at Arrowhead stadium (the home of the Chiefs). Kelce stated in his podcast, New Heights, that he wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it. Jason Kelce, Travis’s brother, asked him if it was his jersey number or his phone number and he replied, “I think you know which one.” 

Swift has been going to most of the Chiefs games for a while now, and fans and broadcasters have noticed a steep increase in stadium attendance due to her presence. Jon LeSage, a Kelce fan states, “She seems to be enjoying herself and getting a lot of screen time which is good for her, but it is a distraction from the game.”  As people rewatch the games it can be seen that whenever Kelce was shown, it usually had something to do with Swift, whether it being her looking at him, or news about the dating rumors. 

In her album, Lover, it has been rumored that most of the album was made up of songs about her past six year relationship with Joe Alwyn such as: Lover, London Boy and Cornelia Street. At the show after their breakup, she was seen crying while performing Champagne Problems. While Taylor was performing Lover at the same show, fans began to feel concerned when they noticed that she was not performing with much compassion as she was at the Lover Tour, back in 2019. Many presume that a lot of her songs are about breakups, and people hope that some music may drop sometime soon about her and travis’s  relationship. Sophomore Samantha Perry shares, “I just hope both of them are happy and I know no matter what happens the songs will be fire.”

Overall their rising relationship has been both an inspiration for others and amusing to watch them grow. From what has been stated above, their relationship is going to thrive given all that has led up to them dating and how they admire each other. Since September, Kelce and Swift have been dating for over 2 months now and have been going strong since!
