Lake Linganore, Maryland, a community with over 12,351 people and around 5000 properties and growing. An area that holds the title of the home of 4 lakes: Lake Linganore, Lake Merle, Lake Anita, and Lake Marion. With multiple beaches, pools, houses, and townhomes, Lake Linganore is a thriving community and space to live. Although the area is already thoroughly developed, there’s still more to be done.
Seen from I-70 and already built, there is the Goddard school, a McDonalds and 7-Eleven. The Goddard school is a school for early childhood development and learning. The McDonalds can be found off of the traffic circle, across from the 7-Eleven. Inside you can find multiple screens to order your food. There are two drive through lanes and two pick up windows. The 7-Eleven can also be found off of the traffic circle and is across from the McDonalds. Selling gas and snacks, Lake Linganore’s 7-Eleven is a great part of the community.
Recently finished in October of 2024, the Frederick Primary Care Associates medical center can be found off of Yeagertown road and in front of the Goddard school. The medical center offers services to people of all ages. They prioritize quality care, attentive staff, and ease in scheduling appointments. The center does not have Laboratory services but is highly skilled in all areas of family medicine. Frederick Primary Care Associates is a great addition to the community. Taylor, a resident of lake Linganore, was asked if there was any part of the development she was unhappy with, she said “I’m not sure how all these new houses and everything will affect things like traffic. I think it’s already pretty busy to then add more business and people will make it worse and I guess I’m not happy about that.”
Under construction, right in front of Oakdale highschool is a new Weis. The Weis will be moving some of its employees from the Spring Ridge location to the one being built. The weis will be the 5th one in Frederick maryland. Taylor, when asked her opinion on the timeliness of what’s being built in the community said, “I think it’s really good. They have a lot to build but it’s all been going up really quick. I moved here before the McDonalds was built so I got to see that, the doctors office, and now the weis being built and it’s all going up pretty fast.”
Soon to be built there is an Ihop, Dairy Queen, and vet with an executed contract. There are also plans to build a car wash and a national QSR (Quick serving restaurant). There will also be multiple small shops consisting of a Ledo’s Pizza and Verizon. When asked what she was most excited for coming to lake LInganore, Taylor said, “I’m most excited about the Ihop that’s been contracted, I really love Ihop, my phone even sends me those suggestions every saturday morning saying I should put in the directions to Ihop.”
Lake Linganore is moving and growing fast. Its population of 12,351 people is rising quickly and doesn’t show signs of stopping. The community has shown to be a well rounded place with lots to do and many activities to choose from. Overall, lake Linganore is a thriving environment to live in.
