Oakdale Girls Varsity Basketball team won both holiday tournament games over winter break.  They improved to 6-1 on the year with a 41-32 victory over River Hill the defending 2A state champ on the first day of games.  Gabby Averill scored 17 points with 8 rebounds, while Sam Foster chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds, Grace Carey had 6 rebounds as well.  The girls defeated Winters Mill on day 2, with a score of 43-31, in a game where Gabby Averill scored 15 points with 10 rebounds, and Aubrey Austin scored 10 points.  Nikki Etchison filled up the stat sheet with 8 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals. The girls next game is Friday January 3rd at home vs. Brunswick!
