This week’s student of the week is Anna Plank.  Anna was nominated by Ms. Strohecker because Anna Plank is currently working 4th block as our Science Department Intern. She has met and exceeded all of our intern expectations and is self motivated.  Recently she has gone above and beyond with some additional responsibilities: Testing improvements with Mr. Lillard on a FCC Bio 101 Photosynthesis lab and writing a Heat Transfer grant with Mr Parry and Ms Adams. Meanwhile, she continues to help us all on our science lab prep/ clean up. As this week’s student of the week, Anna will receive a coupon for one free admission to an Oakdale High School event.  Way to go Anna!

In the first period contest for the food drive Mrs. Cole’s class has now taken the lead with 124 items. Mrs. Smith’s class has 114 items and Mrs. Graziano’s class has 88 with Mrs. Bluman’s class close behind with 86. This week is the final week of the drive. Remember that if your first period class is not participating in the drive, you can drop off items in Ms. Porter’s room, A225.

The Boys soccer team has advanced to the Regional Finals as they defeated Poolesville 1-0 Friday evening. They host Walkersville Tuesday night in the Regional Championship match, game time is 6:00. Come out and support the team.
