This week’s student of the week is Shelby Platner.  Shelby was nominated by Mr. Thompson because Shelby always has a kind word for and time to say, “Hi!” to staff and students. She represents OHS both at school functions and in the community as a Dance Team captain and through The Distinguished Young Women program. While taking high-level classes, she finds time to tutor students of all levels in a variety of subjects from foreign language to math. She is a great example of leading by example and what it means to “be a Bear.”.   As this week’s Student of the Week, Shelby will receive one free admission ticket to an Oakdale High School Event. Way to go Shelby!

Are you interested in participating on the Unified Track team?  Students interested must sign up online through FCPS. Our first practice is scheduled for March 6th at 2:30.  See Mrs. Harrison or Mr. Bingman for more information

Senior boys interested in participating in Mr. OHS should pick up a packet from Miss Mulcahy in B228 anytime this week. If you are not a senior boy but know someone who is and they are interested please make sure to hassle them until they pick up a packet. We need at least 8 boys to run the show.

The Red Cross Club is currently collecting donations of disposable razors and shaving cream for veterans. Donation boxes can be found near Harvey Lewis Bear on Main Street and in Mrs. Cole’s room.

The window for ordering AP exams will go until Friday, March 15.  Students will need to register for their AP exams during this time to avoid an additional late fee. All AP teachers should have registration sheets available to give to students.  They are also available in the AP office. The cost of each exam is $97.76.  Please see Ms. Baker with any questions.  Thank you!
