4/17

The boys track and field team had an awesome showing this weekend in Virginia.  They started the meet with Kyle Lund winning the 800 meter and once again showing that he is one of the best 800 meter runners in the East Coast.  Then Collin Dempsey came in for a mind blowing time of 9:40 in the 2 mile with Collin Shriner coming close behind at 9:55. Tyree Jones out threw most of the field by getting 2nd in the Discus and Luis Smith took third in the shot with a new Personal best of over 44 feet.  Kyle Lund also took third in the 400 meter just shy of breaking the 50 second barrier. The meet was finished off with the 4 by 400 meter team of Ronald Robinson, Nick Stokes, Charles Parrott, and Eric Starks coming in second to bring home another win for the Boys Track and Field team. Great job men and we wish you good luck this Thursday.

All students that had Ms Mattingly for Ceramics or Art 1 that have projects that they would like to include in the spring art show please bring to room B241 by Tuesday April 23. Thank you
