9/23/19

Every week, Oakdale High staff members get the opportunity to recognize students for their behavior in class and overall character.  A winner will be chosen from all the nominations and this winner will be given a coupon to attend an Oakdale event for free. This week’s student of the week is Sydney Valley.  Sydney was nominated by Mr. Parry because Sydney not only works very hard in class but she is also always trying to help other people in class. She is a great example of how to be a Bear to her classmates. As this week’s student of the week, Sydney will receive a coupon for one free admission to an Oakdale High School event.  Way to go Sydney!

Do you know that 90,000 kids in Maryland have a parent in jail, and 2.7 million kids nationwide have at least one family member in jail or prison? You can support these children by donating to C.O.I.P.P, Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership, a local organization that helps these kids and their families. Donate new hygiene supplies like soap, deodorant, and lotion to the boxes around the school for the new few weeks. These children need our help!
