Bears softball will begin preseason workouts On Thursday February 6th at 6am for all interested players.  Bring all of your equipment and workout gear. We will meet in the auxiliary gym.  

To date, over 1800 homes have been destroyed in the Australian forest fires.  The National Honor Society is collecting money during the lunch shifts this week to support Red Cross relief efforts in Australia and Puerto Rico.  Please be generous.

This week’s student of the week is Jeffrey Jia.  Jeffrey was nominated by Ms. Ehrlich because Jeff is an incredibly hardworking student.  In the two years I have taught him, he has shown a consistent commitment to excellence in his work.  He is self-motivated and hard working. When he doesn’t understand a concept or has a question, he persists until it’s understood.  He asks specific questions and listens intently to feedback. He recently completed a project on the economics of the NBA. Presenting in a language other than his native one is a challenge for him, but he practiced carefully and did an excellent job.  Jeff is an exemplar of the qualities to which all Oakdale bears should aspire. As this week’s Student of the Week, Jeff will receive a coupon for one free admission ticket to an Oakdale High School event. Way to go Jeffrey!
