The National Honor Society is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, 27 March 2020. You must be 16 years old to donate blood. If you would like to donate, please see Dr. Schoder in room B-206 for parental permission forms.

Attention Juniors: Applications are now available for Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society. Rho Kappa honor society promotes interest in Social Studies content, citizenship, and service. Interested students must have already completed four Social Studies classes with an unweighted GPA of 3.5. Applications can be found in front of Mrs. Kenney and Mrs. Smith’s rooms, A207 and A201. All applications are due to Mrs. Kenney or Mrs. Smith by 2:20 pm on March 20th.

Congratulations to all of the participants in the cupcake wars. They were all delicious and super creative. Brooke Weedon, Paige Smith, Sam Blaylock, Caitlin Perry, Lindsey McCracken, Emma Rubin and Tirey Daramola. Also, thanks to the travel club officers for bringing in milk, cups and plates and for being amazing judges. Dylan Bliven and Maddy Gabby The travel themed cupcakes were a great idea for World Language Week. 1st place-Japan: sushi and chopsticks. 2nd place by only one point less- Tacos, churros and sombreros. Olé. 3rd place-Countdown to summer and beaches. 4th was a tie. Pineapple and Hawaiian Dreams versus Flags of the world. Thank you again to everyone. #Coexist.

Two senior speakers are needed for graduation on Friday, June 5. Speeches must be no more than 2 minutes in length. Seniors can find a copy of the rubric in the counseling office or on the OHS senior website. Interested seniors must submit a copy of their speech to Ms. Ketteringham no later than 2:25 pm on April 17. Auditions will be held in the counseling office right after school on Thursday, April 23.
