The Bieber Fever

The+Bieber+Fever

By Gabby Redpath and Emily Jerez

Approximately seven years ago, Justin Bieber was introduced to the lives of millions of girls around the world. Since his introduction to the music industry he has caused chaos, disappointment, and joy to nearly every preteen girl in the country. In the years since, the Bieber Fever has slowly been cured, and our lives have returned to normal. But in 2015, the Fever has returned, and we are forced to remember how it all began.

It started with a talent manager by the name of Scooter Braun. While searching the web, Braun accidentally clicked on a video of a young kid from Canada. He was so impressed that he began to search for this kid. Due to Scooter Braun’s mistake, the world has been blessed with Justin Bieber’s talent.

When Braun found Bieber, he was introduced to two musical geniuses, Justin Timberlake and Usher. Bieber was torn between whom he wanted to choose as a mentor to guide him through the difficulties of making music and becoming a pop star. Bieber eventually chose Usher, which could be considered the best career move of his life.

In 2009 Bieber dropped his first EP “My World” which included the famous songs “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl.” Who can ever forget those songs? Now it’s 2015 and a new wave of JB songs have topped the charts once again. His new album “Purpose” has won back the hearts of former Beliebers everywhere.

As Bieber left his teen years, so did his voice. Bieber’s music has developed a new style to appeal to his now older fans. Boys who once rolled their eyes as their middle school girlfriends drooled over Bieber are now buying his most recent hits. Girls who once danced around their rooms to “Baby” in their PJs are now blasting “Sorry” in their cars.
