Boy’s Basketball
Last Year’s Achievements:
2015 Conference champions, Regional champions, and State Semi-Finalist
Key Losses:
Jared Ruiz, Starting shooting guard. He was a leader on the team and sharpshooter.
Trevor Lecuona, Starting point guard, change of pace player who was a court general.
Anthony Gillespie, Big man who led a sophomore group of forwards to become influential players.
Key Additions:
Our star-studded forwards are now juniors (Cory Schlee and Sean Jodrie)
Our 18-2 JV team that is joining their teammates on varsity
Expectations:
Continue the tradition of success. As Sean Jodrie put it, “We are building off of the size
we have and no one in the county has the size to match up against us” I expect the team
to finish in the top three in the county with the chance to 4-peat to states.
Girls Basketball
Last Year’s Achievements:
2015 conference champions, regional champions and state runner-up
Key Losses:
Liz Moorman, Team leader and court general
Christi Labella, point guard, shooter, and overall scorer
Natalie Galaviz and Mackenzie Grove, added a bulldog approach to the bears line up.
Key Additions:
Nadia Mirch, tall forward with a strong left hand
Sophomores with a lot of potential (Selina Robinson and Julia Nicastro)
Expectations:
Return to Towson and win the state championship
Schedule:
Ice Hockey
Last Year’s Achievements: made it to the championship of the county cup
Key Additions:
Star Sophomores and Juniors move up a class
Expectations:
To win the County Cup
Wrestling
Last Year’s Achievements:
Two athletes placed second (Kyle Mcdonald and Logan McKoy) in states
Key Losses:
Senior leader Michael Adams and Ryan Fangmeier
Key Additions:
Very well rounded junior and senior class with freshman and sophomores playing key roles.
Expectations:
The team to win states as a whole, Kyle and Logan to win state’s, Jake Neilson to make states as a sophomore.
Boys & Girls Track and Field
Last Year’s Achievements:
2015 State Champions, Regional Champions
Key Losses:
Adam Middlebrook, Jackie Mcnulty, Abby Stultz, Matt Yerardi
Key Additions:
A lot of points last year were scored by the sophomore class, so we are still considered a “Top dog” in the state and a huge contender to win the state title.
Expectations:
To win the State Championship
Swimming and Diving Team
Last Year’s Achievements:
The boys were undefeated and won the county title. The girls also won the county title
proving a strong effort.
Key Losses:
Ted Alexander, Belle Graham
Key Additions:
The Verby’s are juniors, and a strong senior class will continue the family-like
atmosphere to win matches.
Expectations:
Both teams to continue success.
