After a promising last season for the Bears, Oakdale is coming back ready to win the region. The senior led team has been working hard in the off-season to prepare for the tough conference that approaches them. “The team last year did not have as much chemistry as we do this year, this team definitely has the best chemistry that could help us win,” Senior Cole Swiminer stresses the importance of chemistry on the team. 

As a senior stacked team, the 11 seniors help build that chemistry as they’ve been competing with each other for up to four years now. “These 11 seniors understand the expectations they’re not just going through the motion they don’t just want to finish out there highschool career by just playing baseball they want to win and put the first region champion up in the gym and that leadership were seeing from the seniors we haven’t seen in a few years,” Coach Williams mentioned the leadership and strive to win that the seniors have displayed.

Committed Senior and Center fielder Swiminer hyped after a late game run. The 2024 season marks Cole’s fourth year on varsity, and he plans to continue to play baseball at FCC for his college career. “I think we’re a pretty stacked team, we could definitely make it to regions. I know we can win states if that’s so I think we’ll be pretty good this year,” Swiminer described how far Oakdale can make it this season.
