This week’s student of the week is Simeon Nelson.  Simeon was nominated by 3 different staff members. Simeon is a peer tutor who works with students taking AP Psychology. He is an excellent tutor. He creates diagrams, gives students tips to remember difficult material, and answers student questions thoroughly. He is outgoing and able to engage students in reviews. Ms. Ehrlich shares that he is a big help and couldn’t help students without tutors like him!  Another teacher shared that Simeon is a helpful young man to staff and students alike. He is eager to serve when asked, but also goes out of his way to make himself useful. Simeon works well with other students through tutoring and his friendliness helps him to connect quickly with those who struggle. The third teacher spoke of how well Simeon worked as a tutor in the Bear Den. He definitely is the perfect role model for the slogan, “Be Respectful, and Bear Responsibility”!  As this week’s Student of the Week, Simeon will receive one free admission ticket to an Oakdale High School Event. Way to go Simeon!
