Due to a family emergency, Neal Shusterman must postpone his OHS visit scheduled for Thursday, November 21.  He hopes to reschedule for late winter or early spring. Look for updates in the media center. Listen for updates on the morning announcements. 

Even though Neal Shusterman will not be able to come tomorrow, we are going to continue our book raffle.  We are thrilled that he will be rescheduling and will give you updates as they occur. Bonus! We have more time to read his great books before he comes. We would like to thank the following families and individuals for donating books to our Neal Shusterman book raffle for students.

The Oakdale Ice Hockey team faces off against Glenelg this Friday, November 21st. The puck drops at 9:15. Come out to Skate Frederick to cheer on the Bears. Admission is free!

Operation Christmas Child boxes can be turned into Mr. Gough or Mr. Widmeyer’s room in B229 or A101 by this Friday.  We won’t have FCA this Friday, so be sure to bring in your shoeboxes whenever they are filled! Thank you to everyone who has already filled a shoebox!

Are you interested in Poetry Out Loud? Do you love watching spoken word or Button Poetry videos? You can be a part of the national Poetry Out Loud competition starting at the schoolwide level. The OHS Poetry Out Loud competition will be held December 6th during 5th block in the auditorium. Anyone interested in participating as a performer or even as an observer, please see Mrs. Showalter in A208. She will begin to offer SET sessions to help coach Poetry Out Loud participants.
