Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team for coming in 1st at the 2A West Regional meet last Thursday. Kyle Lund came in for another 1st place finish with Collin Dempsey following close behind for a 3rd place finish.  Collin Shriner raced in bringing a 3rd hard punch to the competition. Josh Milliken and Charlie finished off the top 5 for Oakdale. The Hero of the Meet was Spencer Buckwalter who brought home the win by breaking the tie! Awesome job to the Cross Country team for moving on to the State meet next week!

This week’s student of the week is Hayden Hauptman.  Hayden was nominated by a substitute teacher, Mr. Wisniewski, because he helped out a fellow student who was in need.  Hayden spoke up for and cared for a student who was feeling ill and brought her to the nurse. It was this little act of kindness that impressed the substitute teacher.  As this week’s Student of the Week, Hayden will receive a cookie from Ms. Clabaugh and one free admission ticket to an Oakdale High School event. Way to go Hayden!

If any student is interested in participating in this year’s Operation Christmas Child outreach project, please see Mr. Gough in B229 or Mr. Widmeyer in A101.  You can pick up a shoebox, fill it with gifts that will be sent around the world to third world countries.
