This is a reminder that National Dance honor society applications are due this Friday Dec. 7th by 2:30 pm to Ms. Watson in A203.  The application packet can be found on the OHS website under the quick links section under the tab content specific honor societies.  See Ms. Watson with any questions.

Attention Travel Club- we have pics on Fri. Dec. 7th and a club meeting with German exchange student sharing her experiences. See you soon.

Congratulations to Sophomore Exia Baber-Stephens for winning our HOBY essay competition.

We are so proud to have her as our OHS representative at the HOBY Leadership Seminar in May, 2019.

Thank you to all those that participated.

This week’s student of the week is Emma Melton.  Emma was nominated by Ms. Smith because Emma always goes above and beyond in and out of the classroom. She turns in her best work, helps other students understand course material, and she advocates for herself and others. Emma is responsible for a phenomenal leadership project that provided a low-cost summer soccer camp to area youth, and also raised funds for playground equipment to schools in need. In addition, she can always count on Emma to help her in the classroom with technology and communication. As this week’s students of the week, Emma will receive a cookie from Ms. Clabaugh and one free admission to an Oakdale High School event.  Way to go Emma!

As a reminder, students need to be in your classroom when the bell rings at 7:30 each morning.  Starting tomorrow, Wednesday 12/5, an administrator will be in the front hall to assign consequences for unexcused lates upon arrival.  Students get a warning for the 1st and 2nd time they’re late to school.  The 3rd late earns an after school detention, 4th late earns two after school detention, and 5th (and additional) lates earn a Saturday School.  Make sure you’re on time so you don’t miss any valuable class time.  Thank you!”
