February 25, 2019
This week’s student of the week is Shelby Platner. Shelby was nominated by Mr. Thompson because Shelby always has a kind word for and time to say, “Hi!” to staff and students. She represents OHS both at school functions and in the community as a Dance Team captain and through The Distinguished Young Women program. While taking high-level classes, she finds time to tutor students of all levels in a variety of subjects from foreign language to math. She is a great example of leading by example and what it means to “be a Bear.”. As this week’s Student of the Week, Shelby will receive one free admission ticket to an Oakdale High School Event. Way to go Shelby!
