Red Cross Club is collecting laundry detergent and large-print puzzle books to donate to Veteran’s homes in the area. Please drop off donations in the box in Mrs. Cole’s room by the end of February!

If you are interested in joining the Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Team this Spring, you must attend the mandatory interest meeting on Wednesday, February 19th at 2:30pm in the Cafeteria. Please see Coach Remsberg with any questions!

At the Indoor Track and Field State Championships on Monday, the Lady bears placed 12th overall. Leading the way was the 4X800 relay team of Sarah Anderson, Caylin Walker, Aubrey Schaffer, and Emily Baba coming in second place at a photo finish. The 4×400 relay team of Alex Dean, Ellie Gill, Sarah Anderson, and Emily Baba came in 6th place breaking the school record! Other top performances include Maddee Gabby in the Pole vault, Sarah Anderson in the 800, and Aubrey Schaffer in the 3200. Shout out to the boys team on their big win!

Congratulations to the Boys Track and Field team for bringing home the State Championship to OHS. The 4 by 800 meter team of Lee Goodson, Charles Parrott, Justin Cherry, and Kyle Lund came in 1st. Jonah Childress came in 4th in the 300 meter. Kyle Lund and Collin Dempsey did the unbelievable by getting 1st and 2nd at states in the 1 mile run!!! The 4 by 200 meter team of Matt Moran, Lamont Kennedy, Peter Worden, and Jonah Childress came in 7th. Sam Starrs broke the Sophomore Pole Vault record in the state and also came in 1st in the pole Vault by jumping 14 feet 3 inches. Kyle Lund came in 1st in the 800 meter, broke the overall state record in that race, and now has the 3rd fastest 800 meter time in the nation. Lee Goodson took 3rd in the 800 meter easily breaking 2 minutes in his race. Nick Rohwer threw for a 4th place in the Shot Put. Collin Dempsey came in 4th in the 2 mile run and Nick Raumann took 7th. The team of Lee Goodson, Matt Moran, Jonah Childress, and Kyle Lund finished off the meet by winning the 4 by 400 meter run. They also set the state record in the 4 by 400 meter. Coach Lillard, Coach Beard, Coach Davis, Coach Heinze, and Coach Dempsey would like to thank the boys for a great season.
