Wonder Woman 1984 review

Wonder Woman 1984 is a superhero movie that came out on December 25. The movie is a sequel to the Wonder Woman movie that came out in 2017. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins. The movie follows Diana Prince 66 years after the death of her love, Steve Trevor, and her friend turned foe, Barbra Minerva. The film follows themes of love, loss, jealousy, and contentment. The movie was met with mixed reviews by critics. The movie was rated 60% by Rotten Tomatoes.

 

Zion Mendes, a freshman at Oakdale, stated, “I liked the movie. I thought it was fun. I definitely liked the story.” 

 

Zach Smith, a junior at Oakdale, voiced, “I liked the movie. The reviews kind of put me off, but I thought it was good.”.

 

When asked about her favorite scene, Mendes replied, “My favorite scene was in the beginning of the movie when Wonder Woman was saving the mall and she had that cute moment with the little girl.” 

 

Smith responded, “My favorite scene was in the White House. I don’t want to spoil it, but I thought it was cool.”

 

Despite the mixed reviews, Mendes and Smith both shared positive views on the movie. Mendes expressed, “I would recommend this movie to others. It is really cute and I liked the theme.” 

 

Smith replied “I would recommend this movie to people who like hero films, and for family movie nights.”
