Distinguished Scholar

“Please congratulate Megan Chang on becoming The Distinguished Young Woman of Southern Frederick County for 2020 this past Saturday, March 16th. She competed with 21 other outstanding young women from across the county. Megan was awarded $6,000 in cash to be used at the college of her choice and offered over $200,000 in in-kind college scholarships. Anyone graduating in 2021 is eligible to sign up now. This program is only for High School Juniors NOT seniors. So sophomores, now is the time to register. Grad Speakers

WE NEED SENIOR SPEAKERS! Two Senior Speakers are needed for graduation on Friday, May 31. Speeches must be no more than two minutes in length. If interested, pick up the Graduation Speech rubric in the counseling office or find it on the OHS senior website. Typewritten speeches are due to Ms. Ketteringham by April 12 at 2:25 pm – NO EXCEPTIONS!Auditions will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 2:30 in the Counseling Office.

This month’s guest speaker is our very own School Resource Officer, Deputy Calimer, and he will be doing an Active Assailant Talk.
