Eternal Sunshine album cover displays Ariana Grande laying on a shoulder.

Ariana Grande’s highly anticipated new album has finally arrived, and it’s a game-changer. The pop sensation has outdone herself, delivering a record that’s both deeply personal and sonically stunning. From the opening notes, it’s clear that Grande has pushed her boundaries, creating a masterpiece that will leave fans and critics amazed.

This new album is unlike her others. Her albums in the past have been more upbeat, unlike Eternal Sunshine which is more deep and connecting.

The album’s production is a work of art in itself, with Grande collaborating with some of the industry’s most innovative producers, such as Troye Sivan and Mariah Carey. The result is a soundscape that’s both futuristic and nostalgic, blending beats, and harmonies. Each song in the album is meticulously crafted, with Grande’s powerful vocals soaring through the mix.

This is Grandes 7th album release. She took a break from releasing new albums for a while, her last album “Positions” came out in 2020.she spent this time working on other things including filming for her new movie “Wicked”

Lyrically, Grande has never been more vulnerable. She tackles themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery with unflinching honesty, her words painting vivid pictures of her inner world. The album’s emotional depth is astounding, with Grande’s voice cracking with emotion on hit tracks that went viral on TikTok like “We cant be friends” and “Bye”.

“It’s a complete shift in her style,” Junior Bella Reins explained. Grande’s songs have been going viral on TikTok recently.

“I loved to dance to the songs or lay in bed and listen, this album has everything,” Freshman Emma Teals stated.

The name of the album is based on the movie “Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind”, having made several references to the movie through both her social media and her music video, where she resembles the character Clementine.

She never planned on releasing a new album this soon though, wanting at first to finish at least part one of “Wicked” before she jumped back into the music game. But when the actor’s strike took place, she ended up back in the studio, resulting in “Eternal Sunshine.”

Within the first week, the album, which dropped on March 8,  jumped to number one on the Billboard hot 100 chart. Twelve out of the 13 songs also charted on the charts, with “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for your Love)” going number one.
