On the morning of March 26, 2024 a cargo ship had lost power and the captain was unable to steer the cargo ship away from the Francis Scott Key Bridge. This resulted in the ship crashing into the bridge and causing major structural damage.

Catherine is a senior at Oakdale. Her hobbies include singing, playing piano, dancing on the Dance Team, and participating in theatre. In the future, she wants to attend a 4 year university and study Journalism.

Oakdale’s Swim and Dive outside of the school after competing against Catoctin on January 3rd. At this meet, the boys side of Oakdale’s team won with an impressive score of 143 to 18, and the girls side of the team by a similarly large margin of 146 to 25.
